That’s one small step for GAOSP, a giant leap for mankind
It has been a long road the past month. The Galaxy Android Open Source Project (GAOSP) has the attention of the whole Samsung Galaxy i7500 Custom ROM Community. Since Samsung stated that the Galaxy will never get an update to Eclair or Froyo, the user of the Galaxy 7500 waiting impatiently for a successfull Port of the Android 2.x to their Device.
Drakaz and nopy, two very addicted developers were working hard to get the last missing piece of the big puzzle together. A working Camera on GAOSP.
Tonight is the night! drakaz just released the GAOSP-2-08202010-NIGHTLY which includes the first time a Camera software, which is actually taking pictures. This is a big step and i would like to congratulate the dev team for their excellent work.
Quick Overview about the last changes:
- Camera picture is fixed by nopy
- Light Sensor is fixed (Samsung’s driver is very bad…i will improve the light map soon)
- GAOSP is patched with wifi ad-hoc hack (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=754961)
